Brokerage Experience & History:

RE/MAX First Advantage was founded by Tom, Valerie and Nate Biehl in 1998. Tom Biehl’s real estate career began in 1974 when he joined Apol-Richards Real Estate & Insurance. Tom functioned as the company’s real estate sales manager for 25 years with Apol-Richards. Nate Biehl licensed with Apol-Richards in 1993 and became the company’s assistant real estate sales manager in 1997. In 1998, Tom and Nate acquired and converted all of the real estate agents and staff into RE/MAX First Advantage. They continue to maintain the largest market share of residential real estate sales in the Lower Yakima Valley market. Tom Biehl received a production award from RE/MAX Pacific Northwest Region for being number three in the region for total closed sales in 2000. Tom Biehl has served as the President of the Lower Valley Association of REALTORS and as a director on the Board. He was a shareholder with Yakima County to work on project compliance with the Washington State Growth Management Act. He is currently serving as a member on the Yakima County Planning Commission Board. Tom and Nate Biehl are co-recipients of the 2000 and 2006 RE/MAX Pacific Northwest Region Broker/Owner of the year award for both the Sunnyside and Kennewick office locations. Nate Biehl is currently serving on the Tri-City Association of REALTORS Board as a director, and is also serving on the MLS and Budget & Finance committees. He is a past chair of the MLS committee. Both Tom and Nate are dedicated to promoting the REALTOR code of ethics and maintaining high professional standards within their offices.

In October of 1999, RE/MAX First Advantage opened up a second location in Kennewick, Washington (the Tri-Cities) serving Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, West Richland, Benton City, Burbank and surrounding areas. Tom and Nate Biehl acquired the agents and the office location of the prior RE/MAX Gem, Ltd. Beginning with seven agents in 1999, the office currently operates with over 50 agents. 714% growth in the past 9 years places RE/MAX First Advantage as number three in brokerage market share for residential real estate sales in the Tri-Cities. Similar to the Sunnyside office, the brokerage excels in all facets of real estate- including residential, commercial, multi-family, new construction, ranch and farm, lots and acreage, development, REO, business opportunities and leasing.
